Meet Anna, our Lake Valley Missions Intern
My name is Anna and I moved to Hot Springs about a month ago in order to be a missions intern at Lake Valley. Originally, I am from DeKalb, Illinois, and have lived in the Midwest for most of my life. So, the South is a little different from what I am used to, but I am really enjoying it here!
Last year, while I was still in college, my family moved from Illinois to Harlingen, Texas, where my Dad is the president of a missions training school called To Every Tribe. I am the oldest of four children and graduated this past spring from the Wheaton College Conservatory in Wheaton, Illinois, with a degree in Music Pedagogy, specializing in teaching the piano. For the past nine years, I have taught piano and love working with children.
My desire is to work in mission, specifically in an administrative position working with children and youth. This past summer, I worked in the Czech Republic with a missions organization called Josiah Venture. While in the Czech Republic, I had the amazing opportunity to help lead my team of interns and come alongside and serve local churches as they put on English camps. Now that I am back in the states, I am very excited to work with the Lake Valley Apostolic team to learn more about missions and opportunities for missions, both in the states and worldwide. Currently, music is not quite as big a part of my life as it has been for so many years, so I am thankful for the chance to e able to play for Sunday morning worship services. I look forward to meeting you all – either her at church or at Chick-fil-A where I am also working. – Anna Leston
