Amy Simmons

Amy Simmons

Amy has been married to her best friend, Tom Ed, for twenty-three years and has lived in Hot Springs for twenty of those years. Both Amy and Tom Ed graduated from Harding University where Amy received a BA in biology and a teaching certification for grades 5-12. They have two children, Austin and Abby. Austin is a sophomore at Harding University studying accounting, with dreams of attending law school after graduation. Abby is a freshman at the University of Arkansas, with plans of going to occupational therapy school in the future.

Amy began her role in Children’s Ministry in June of 2017. Prior to joining the Lake Valley ministry staff, Amy spent six years teaching 6th grade at Lakeside Middle School. But, most importantly, she has spent the last nineteen years being a mom…her most favorite job! There is no doubt in Amy’s mind that God has been using those years as an educator and her experience as a mom to prepare her for this ministry endeavor. Amy loves children and is focused on supporting parents as they teach their children to know Jesus and to serve Him for a lifetime.
