The Meaning of Marriage
On June 22, 2019, Jennifer and I (LT) will celebrate 28 years of marriage. We love being married…not because it’s easy, but because it has been so worth the work. Marriage is the most challenging thing we have ever done together. We have learned so much about ourselves, each other, and about God. We have made plenty of mistakes. We have also found some victory along the way.
Jennifer and I are passionate about our marriage and we are passionate about yours, too. So, we would like to personally invite you to a marriage seminar that we are hosting at the start of the new year. As 2019 begins, we will start a new class called, “The Meaning of Marriage”. This class will be centered around a book of the same title, by Tim and Kathy Keller. The seminar will be open to anyone who signs up, including singles, engaged couples, newly married, or those who just need a spark. You don’t have to attend Lake Valley to participate. If you know a couple that would benefit from this seminar, get them signed up.
If you plan to attend, we need you to sign up so that we can be prepared with childcare, workbooks, and other materials. This seminar will be on Sunday nights at 6 pm and will last for eight weeks. We would like for you to purchase the book on your own. It’s called, “The Meaning of Marriage” by Timothy Keller, Dutton Publishers. That is all you need. We hope to see you on Sunday, January 6th at 6:00 pm in the Lake Valley Worship center.
Keller says, “There’s no relationship between human beings that is greater or more important than marriage…and that is why, like knowing God himself, coming to know and love your spouse is difficult and painful – yet rewarding and wondrous.” – LT
