The Restoration Project – Base Camp

Last weekend, twelve father and son pairs experienced the first ever Base Camp Arkansas! So much fun, adventure, healing, strengthening, and bonding took place at Tucker Lodge, surrounded by Cox Creek, DeGray Lake, and the Caddo River. Base Camp is an intentional outdoor experience for fathers to engage their children.

“This is like MOO for dads.”KURT MEREDITH

“It’s not just a mountain-top experience, but gives you a basis for helping your son toward authentic pursuit of God-wired manhood.”BEN KILGORE

“If you want your father/son relationship to go deeper than just sports or hunting or fishing, spend some time away from the hustle and bustle and connect your heart to his and see it bloom into what God has in mind!”SHANE CARSON

Base Camp is not just a simple camping trip. It is designed for fathers to begin the work of laying the foundation for their son’s passage into manhood. This is Phase One of the Man Maker Expedition series. Learn more at: www.restorationproject.net

I would like to say thank you to Jesse French (Chief of Next Steps – Restoration Project) for coming from Fort Collins, Colorado to guide the experience; Andrew Walton and Josh Wright for serving as Staff; Nan Bowlin and Alvin Black for serving delicious meals throughout the weekend; Dwight Bowlin for being the swiss army knife; and all the amazing fathers who carved out time in their summers for an intentional experience with their sons. – Nate Hall
