What to Expect

What to Expect

As a family, we gather to worship together at Lake Valley at 9:00 – 10:15 am and 10:30 -11:45 am. We feel that we are a large extended family who gathers each week in the living room of the Father to enjoy His presence, listen to His teaching, and join Him at His table. This value of family is very important and affects all that we do. If you join us for Sunday morning worship, you will find a casual, yet diverse family. You will see babies in the nursery and in their parents’ arms, young kids in the lobby and in learning centers, and adults of all ages worshipping and learning more about Jesus.

What to Wear

Some of us like to wear jeans while others prefer to “dress up.” It really doesn’t matter to us what we wear, because we would rather focus on the more important issues of who we are and our need to connect with others. So, if you are considering whether or not to visit, wear what is comfortable to you. You will be accepted.

Worship Style

Worship at Lake Valley is participatory and our family values also shape our music and teaching. We believe that there is no one style that perfectly communicates to everyone. So, we have a wide variety of songs ranging from contemporary praise and worship to traditional hymns and everything in between. Similarly, some teaching will be a verse-by-verse treatment of a text, while others may be themed around a topic.

What we are saying is that you should expect the unexpected. No two Sundays are exactly the same.
